Kim served as a prosecuting states attorney working for the South Carolina Department of Children and Family Services. Once leaving South Carolina Department of Children and Family Services established her own private practice. Her work in private practice and in family law garnered the attention of Jeffrey Leving, noted Illinois family law attorney who is responsible for getting Elion Gonzalez back with his father in Cuba. Kim worked with Jeffrey Leving on several high profile cases. While working in this capacity, Kim represented many high net worth individuals. In addition to protecting the interest of children and families, Kim supported legislation that gives fathers and men equal access to the family court system. Kim teamed up with Jeff Leving and supported his nonprofit organization Dad’s Rights. RK Grigsby Law has opened a companion organization Father’s Rights of the Lowcountry. In addition to family law, Kim has dedicated the last 10 years of her life supporting and advising nonprofit organizations, arts organizations and educational institutions.
